War kills more than 20,000 in Libya: NTC | chinadaily.com.cn
BENGHAZI, Libya – More than 20,000 people have been killed in Libya since the civil conflict started in February in the North African state, rebel leader Mustafa Abdel Jalil said on Thursday. Speaking at a press conference in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi, Abdel Jalil, head of the rebel Transitional National Council (NTC), said he did not have the exact figure but he believed the conflict had cost more than 20,000 lives.
