Arabs at the Olympics: Could have been better – The Jordan Times
Most Arabs are preoccupied with conflicts — be they internal or external — and have little or no time to indulge in sports. Nation building is a continuing process in many Arab states, with very few having attained their political, economic and social objectives.
Still, one would have expected at least the Arab countries that have the means and the necessary stability to perform better in international competitions.
