PressTV – ‘We are not a British colony”, Ecuadorian FM says
The announcement came after the British government threatened to storm the Ecuadorean Embassy in London, where Assange has taken refuge since two months ago.
Far from being intimidated by the threat, Rafael Correa, the president of Ecuador, granted Assange political asylum and his foreign minister declared that “We want to be very clear, we are not a British colony”.
