Iran plans “Resistance Economy” as a strategic policy: MP

Tehran, March 2, IRNA – An Iranian parliamentarian described resistance economy an issue which is of strategic importance for the country.

Talking to IRNA on Monday, Ali Mohammad Ahmadi who is a deputy for Majlis Budget and Planning Committee, said that resistance economy offers a comprehensive and strategic plans for development of country’s economy not only during sanctions but in the post-sanctions era as well.

Highlighting the importance of resistance economy policies in the today world, he said the policy is particularly welcomed by countries which nurture a spirit of independence both in their domestic and foreign economies.

Also noting that resistance economy is basically based on relying on internal resources, he said this certainly did not mean excluding other countries from the country’s economy but rather decreasing dependence on oil money.
