ASEAN invites Youth to Creative Industry Fair, 28-30 August
JAKARTA, 3 July 2015, ASEAN Secretariat News – The biggest event for ASEAN youth to advance the creative industry will be held on 28-30 August in Jakarta. ASEAN Youth Creative Industry Fair (AYCIF) is the first competition of its kind where it aims to spotlight at innovative and creative works from youths of ASEAN and Japan. The event aims to inspire further synergy between young creative entrepreneurs in ASEAN and Japan. Creative industry players in the ASEAN and Japan will gather to discuss and network over the showcase of works and projects.
The two-day events will be showcasing games trial, movie screening, fashion show, and craft making. There will also be creative bazaar from more than 300 tenants from all across the ASEAN Member States (AMS) and Japan, creative seminar from more than 15 experts from AMS and Japan, and art performances. Participants will be able to take part in one of the four sectors, namely Fashion, Craft & Product Design, Games & Applications and Movies & Animation.
The AYCIF is an activity under the ASEAN Small and Medium Enterprise Agencies Working Group (SMEWG)’s work programme, spearheaded by Indonesia’s Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs and the UKM Centre of the University of Indonesia. The project is supported by the Government of Japan, through Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund.
