A Compendium of Unmatched Lectures on Thailand: The Greatest Story in Global Tourism HiSTORY
I call Thailand “The Greatest Story in Global Tourism HiSTORY”. For many good reasons.
Privileged to have covered this dynamic sector since 1981, I have seen it grow from its early formative days to the boom era of mass-tourism. Thailand’s great marketing campaigns, crisis situations, political upheavals and development challenges are a stellar learning experience, bar none.
I am now compiling my meticulously preserved journalism and archives into a series of unmatched lectures to help the global Travel & Tourism industry learn the lessons of history and design a new business model, using Thailand as a base.
Just as Thailand revolutionised global tourism with its Visit Thailand Year 1987 marketing extravaganza, it can now be a perfect model for designing a new roadmap in an era of conflict, health pandemics, natural disasters, technological risks and what I call “The Two Global Warmings.”
No academic institution can match this compendium in Thailand or anywhere else in the world.
Please scroll down to see the list of topics available so far. More will be added in future.
The lectures are ideally suited for management meetings, strategic planning sessions and industry events, forums and conferences to explore fascinating hindsights and alternative perspectives.
They are particularly useful for:
(+) Emerging destinations to brainstorm marketing and brand-building campaigns.
(+) Educational institutions to design Executive Development Programmes.
(+) Multinational corporations to provide background and context for their staff either already working in or relocating to Thailand.
(+) Crisis managers to explore ways to deal with multiple shock-horror scenarios.
Lectures can also be tailor-made on specific topics such as sustainability, human resources, health & wellness, niche-market development, policy and planning, aviation, transportation networks, and more.
