Thai listed companies banking on tourism to prop up economy in 4th quarter 2024
Bangkok — Thai companies listed on the stock market have begun releasing their performance reports for the 3rd quarter 2024 ending September. The first off the mark are three finance companies, one bank and the company managing investments in Samui Airport.
All five have reported positive benefits from the upturn in tourism so far this year, and an equally positive outlook for the last quarter, if visitor arrivals remain strong.
The following are screenshots of the five reports with the relevant information, which is self-explanatory. It again underscores the critical role of tourism in the Thai economy today, and the problems that could very rapidly emerge if local, regional or global conditions take a turn for the worse.
