Marketing Survey: Millennials Unlikely To Support Wine-makers That “Try Too Hard”
Napa, CA (PRWEB) June 29, 2012 – Millennials show the least interest towards Millennial targeted wines according to a new national survey conducted by Invictus Marketing, a Napa based interactive marketing agency. The 2012 Millennial Targeted Wines survey report is issued publicly and a copy can be downloaded directly at the Invictus Marketing website.
The research uncovers a shocking 69.75% of older Millennial wine drinkers between the ages of 25-34 would not purchase any of the five Millennial targeted wines presented during their survey session.
In addition, the survey also finds that of the older Millennial wine drinkers which would purchase any of the wines presented, the majority that group of would purchase the Millennial targeted wines only as a prank gift, rather than having interest in trying the wine itself.
“Millennials are a sophisticated group of individuals,” says Prashant Patel of Invictus Marketing who is also an older Millennial. “As soon as a Millennial feels like they are being advertised to, they are probably going to shutdown. Our generation is immune to the types of marketing and advertising that might have worked in the past. Some brands just ‘try too hard’ and that can be really devastating for long term success.”

The internet user survey was conducted in May 2012 by Invictus Marketing and had a total of 1,500 respondents across the from the United States. To reduce the effects of non-response and non-coverage bias data from the study, data was weighted to the US Census Current Population Data, which includes age, gender, and geographic data.
The wines presented to survey respondents were all from TXT Cellars, a New Jersey based organization.
