First Global Ranking of Accredited Online MBAs Released
NEW YORK, July 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — The first Global ranking of accredited online MBAs offered by the world’s top business schools, 2012 QS Distance Online MBA Rankings, has been released today on TopMBAConnect.com.
The report, created by world education leader QS, was developed in direct response to the market increase in both the number of schools offering distance learning and online MBA programs, and the number of students requesting information on such programs.
“Digital has created new educational opportunities as well as some questionable ones. As the educational landscape changes, it is important to empower people with a reliable information to help them navigate and weed out the diversity of options available,” says James VanderMeer, Managing Director of TopMBAConnect.com.
The top 5 schools included IE Business School, Warwick Business School, Manchester Business Schools, Thunderbird School of Global Management, and Indiana University – Kelly School of Business. View the complete report at http://www.topmbaconnect.com/mba-ranking/online-mba-programs-2012.html.
The ranking system was designed to measure the overall experience and support students receive, as well as the return on investment and career opportunities that would be available to students after graduation. Schools were ranked according to those factors deemed most important for students when deciding between programs. They include employability, student quality, faculty and teaching, class experience, accreditation and diversity.
Designed by the QS Intelligence Unit, over 300 business schools worldwide were analyzed. Schools placed in the ranking had to be accredited by one of the three main MBA accreditation organizations; be established, with at least one graduating class; and be recognized by at least one of the MBA employers included in the QS Global Employer Survey
