Never Too Late To Say Thank You On This Wife Appreciation Day

=========

(PRWEB) September 21, 2013 – Join millions of husbands around the world on Sunday, September 22, 2013, as they celebrate their wives on Wife Appreciation Day.

Regardless of whether she works at home or in the office, this is a good time to thank her for all the things she has done, and with 3.6 in every 1,000 marriages ending up in divorce in the United States, taking a little time to show your appreciation for your wife can’t hurt. In the latest issue of her Moms@Work series, author Kathryn Michaels offers up some tips to help make this day a little special.

So, what are the things to keep in mind when choosing a nice surprise for her this Wife Appreciation Day?

  •     Make it meaningful. Put yourself in her shoes. Give her something tangible which she will appreciate and will use because she likes it and it is convenient for her, like a spa voucher nearby her (not your) office or home.
  •     Make it fun. Let her see that you have taken some effort to make her feel appreciated. Give her some variety. Do not recycle gifts from past years. If you take the trouble to make plans to celebrate, follow through with them.
  •     Make her feel significant. Remind her that someone thinks she is important and appreciates what she has done. Give her something she likes that she either cannot do for herself or will not spend on herself.
  •     Make it compulsory. She juggles many things all the time. She needs a break too. Make sure she stops and takes time for herself to enjoy the gift.
  •     Make it timeless. Appreciation doesn’t have to be limited to only a day. Imagine the impact when she is constantly reminded you care.
  •     Make it memorable. Remind her that you love her – not only because she is your wife, but because she’s your best friend and a wonderful woman.

As Voltaire once said, “The husband who decides to surprise his wife is often very much surprised himself.” So, make sure it is a nice surprise.
