Grape picking boosts tourism in La Union | Manila Bulletin
Bauang, La Union — Grape picking straight from the vines of a plantation in Barangay Urayong here has been attracting foreign and local tourists in this town thereby contributing to the province’s tourism industry.
This town, known as the “Fruit Capital of La Union,” has been promoting various high-grade varieties of fruits like guapples or apple-guava, papaya, sweet corn, mangoes, dragon fruit, oranges, and many others.
Aside from being nutritious, fresh grapes picked from the vineyard also prove to be an exciting activity for tourists – particularly visitors from other provinces are amazed that such vast grape plantations exist in the country.
