Organic Merchants Campaign Cuts Out Middle-Man to Get Healthy, Affordable Foods Straight to Average Consumer
Denver, CO (PRWEB) October 06, 2015 – The Organic Merchants team launched their Indiegogo campaign today and is looking to raise a total of $25K to help with the packaging costs for their new line of organic, NON-GMO popcorn. Organic Merchants is a family-owned business that delivers a multitude of different healthy foods at affordable prices by eliminating the middle man and packaging the products themselves.

Most people don’t think about how many steps it takes the average retailer to get their product from the farm to the grocery store shelf. The average product goes through about ten steps before hitting the shelves; Organic Merchants cuts it down to a three-step process. They bring in hand-selected products from around the world to their company-owned packaging facility, where they package the product and send it directly to the consumer. By keeping things simple, Organic Merchants is able to cut their costs and make their foods more affordable.
“It’s not just about cutting our costs or providing healthier foods; it’s about making these foods more accessible and affordable so that people can live a healthier lifestyle without spending a fortune,” said Mary Megan, CEO of Organic Merchants. “We’re ready for the world to see that quality foods are available at a good price and from a business that cares.”
Today marks the start of Organic Merchants’ crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for their line of organic, gluten-free, kosher, 100 percent NON-GMO popcorn. Supporters of the campaign will be able to purchase six pound or twelve pound bags, each delivered in a recyclable and resealable bag, stamped with the classic Organic Merchants logo. Popcorn won’t be the only food available; supporters will also be able to purchase other products, including organic chia seeds, organic quinoa, organic gluten-free oats and more.
Early backers can purchase Organic Merchants popcorn on Indiegogo for $10, which is $20 less than the market retail value, and $10 less than lower-quality, non-organic popcorn sold under household names at all major retailers.
