Hotels in Delhi step up security after sting claims beef sale – The Hindu
Several five Star Hotels in New Delhi and South Delhi have been provided additional security cover after a sting operation purportedly showed them as serving cow meat.
Talking to The Hindu a senior police officer said that the security was enhanced in the light of warning from right wing groups who have demanded action and even protested outside some of these hotels.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad said : “We have categorically stated that “in case the sale or serving of beef do not stopped forthwith, we will have to launch an agitation to protect the law.” Joining the bandwagon immediately after his release from Jail was Hindu Sena activist Vishnu Gupta who has threatened a repeat of the Kerala House episode where he took the police for checking whether beef was being sold there or not.
